Hello again, all!
Just here for my monthly check in. (Sarcasm) I keep saying I'm gonna have more time, I'm gonna have more time . . . And then we move. Now, it's my porch that's taking up my free time.
I have a little porch in my backyard, which Stella loves dearly. She like to take her big drawing pad and computer outside and drink tea in the morning, and we watch the squirrels and birds fight in the mammoth tree outside. Five minutes later, leaves come raining down out of whatever special part of hell hovers over my house.
I sweep them up dutifully, keeping my little porch as clean as possible. This continues . . . forever.
Stella keeps telling me that it's a good zazen training, and that anger does my blood pressure and our household wa damage. Still . . . I keep sweeping and they keep coming, like a storm of justice for some unknown wrong I did in a previous life. Tons and tons of them, out of trees that appear to have no loose leaves remaining. Ugh. Worst thing is, I can't use a leaf blower out there because it'll mess with Stella's allergies for sure. Lots of dust and pollen around here, we notice.
On the lighter side, I've noticed that the ground smells good when it rains outside the city. While in New York, I never noticed that the City smelled like a dung heap after a rain. Kind of foul and very hot, it was never good to go out after a hard rain. Now, it's like all the flowers in the world give up their scent to the raindrops. The whole area smells so wonderful, and it's so breezy and cool.
Very nice to hang out in.Also, I'm getting a bit of a tan.
That's all for now! Since I have more time now, I hope to . . . Never mind.
*picks up his dustpan and charges out after lone leaves*

Well, many of my friends have asked to know more about me and my lovely wife, whom I speak of quite a bit in the forums. I will include some little tidbits to keep those visiting interested with the hope of not becoming boring.

I am an administrator which currently works from my home "office" (for now: the couch) for an executive search firm. I enjoy reading in my spare time, and occasionally play World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy XI with Stella. *Update* We are now playing Gears of War, and are patiently waiting for Burning Crusade so that we can be Blood Elves.
Aaron's Top Five Animes:
1) Gankutsuo - The Count of Monte Cristo : Ranked Number 1 for the rich interpretation that kept me guessing.
2) Ghost in the Shell (SAC) : damn fine. No complaints. The prefect popcorn and beer anime. Good for breaking in friends who have never seen anime before.
3) Fist of the North Star (the old, crappy subbed version) : Neck Twisting Face Breaking Punch is a knee to the throat. Kenshiro actually practiced a move called "Rod Smile Neck Punch", which apparently only works on people that wear clown makeup and use a bo staff. You can't make this stuff up.
4) Kiddy Grade : Again, damn fine. No real weak point for me.
5) Gunslinger Girl : Heartbreaking and unnerving, with a generous scoop of Italian gangster movie flavor.

Stella is a senior marketer for a major anime company. She hates reading, and gets frustrated when I spend too much time with my nose in a book. She loves to play FPS video games, and can beat any man I know at Halo and is getting really good at Gears of War. When she's not shoving stuff out of my lap to get my attention, she is usually playing with our blue russian cat or making a mess in the kitchen. She cannot cook. She cooks so badly, her grandmother ordered her pre-cooked meals while she was in college for fear that she might die in a fire. Really.
Stella's Top Five Animes:
1) Stellvia of the Universe : She loves this show so much, I can hear the theme song in my dreams. She cries and gets all lovey-dovey and gets mad just like it's the first time, every time.
2) Read or Die : One of my favorites, as well, but I left it off my list. Anita is one of her favorite characters, and Maggie is one of mine.
3) Yoake Mae Yori Ruri Iro Na : Girl stuff. Makes her cry.
4) Azumanga Daioh : I don't really have to explain this . . . do I? She reminds me of Osaka a lot.
5) Negima! : She wants Nodoka to end up with Negi so bad it hurts.
Stella's favorite things:
Aaron, peanut butter (about a jar a week), Luna (the kitty), shooting people in a virtual world
I hope this gives my friends a bit of insight into my life. I will add updates as I get more questions about myself and my spouse. We are very grateful for our friends at AP, and I look forward to contributing some scans and more money to the site very soon. Until then, I will see you all in the forums!

Hmmm... It's natural for a guy to be nervous about it (I think so). Well, a child would be another responsibility for both of you. But I think, you and Stella would be okey. I hope every things gonna be fine with you and Stella, soon with the baby. hehe. XD

) Moving again?? How about the house you're living in now? You guys sell it? Yeah.. I think living near the family, esp. with the plan on having a baby, is a good idea :D It must be really nice for her to have you and your family around in her first pregnancy later, hehe ^^
Guys are always nervous when this (or these?) kind (or kinds?) of things come around, right? Marriage, pregnancy... Women are also nervous, but if I'm not wrong, the effect is greater to men??

My life has become so...messy.
I often not sleep, really often to sleep in the morning, have less time to lay back and take a break or playing around. I'm still struggling to adapt with my new environment and tasks in my first year, and I really hope I'll be able to do it before my first year ends because things wouldn't be easier in the next year and will only become harder in the other next.

Honestly, I usually don't celebrate Valentine, hehe. I spend my time just by telling other people "Happy Valentine" :] Maybe because I choose to stay single until now.. so there's nobody to celebrate it with, lol XP
I actually thinking of making something different/special for my best friends this year.. ,, but I still have no idea. Most of them are unreachable, I mean.. they live far away from me.. so I don't know, hehe.. I hope I can find something nice to do ^^
Btw... I lost my cell phone > < It's being.. 'taken away' by a thief in public transportation.. *sighs* It seems that I have to be more careful..

aaronvpsStella is getting excited to finish the hard holiday work so that we can go skiing. She's a great skier, and I am very poor. I think I'll try snowboarding this time to hopefully fall less due to my skis going in opposite directions!
I know what you're talking about m8.My girl wanted to go skiing too.
We are the same as you guys. I am 1'91 with no sense of balance whatsoever, and she is 1'59. She never tried skiing before, but small people have good balance. She should be better than me, and that is really intimidating!
I'm the same as always, although now I am preparing myself for the back-to-my-hometown-Xmas-trip ^^

Anyway, do you guys get a winter/Christmas holiday there?
I am finally enjoying my holiday at the moment. After a long and busy semester.. Geez.. I sleep for minimal 6 hours per day now because I know that the next semester would be worse = = Getting 2 or 3 hours sleep per day are already a bless for me.. This is not the thing that's happening to all graphic design student. I often not sleep because of my speed of work (damn slow) and my need to get my work close to perfection.
The grades.. well.. it's not as good as I hope.
My final exam really crash it all. I get pretty good grades for my tasks and mid test, but suddenly my final exam turns into hell or something. Most of the grades that I get are unsatisfying. I feel extremely desperate because of it, but I'm so lucky to have some friends who are always reminding me that good grades doesn't equal your quality. Life isn't always about grade. Life is a process of learning and it's really human to fail :]
